Pain syndromes and sleep disorders
Abstract
This review presents the modern data about the interconnectedness of acute and chronic pain and sleep disorders. Shown a close relationship between these pathological processes have a decisive importance for the quality of human life. Examines some of the mechanisms of influence of normal sleep on inhibition nociceptive input, and also features of changes in pain perception sleep deprivation. Summarized data of experimental and clinical studies devoted to the study of changes of the architectonics of sleep in acute and chronic pain syndromes. Contains numerous facts testifying that chronic pain is significantly disrupts the normal during the night’s sleep and sleep disorders might significantly worsen pathoiogical effect of pain on the body. Presented examples of close overlap neuromatrix between sleepgenes and nociceptive systems.
