Abstract

In this investigation had been taken part 21 patients (11 men and 10 women, the age of patients: 78–85 years) with ischemic stroke and 38 patients (15 men and 23 women, age pa patients: 75–88 years) with hemorrhagic stroke, all patient included in study had herpetic infection. We have showed that in acute stroke stage occurred re-activation of different clinical presentations latent herpetic infection, such as persistence of Herpes Simplex Virus in blood, liquor, Herpes labialis, herpetic lesions of eyes, nervus trigeminus, and herpetic meningitis. There was stroke-induced immunogenicity in all patients with Herpetic complications which had been showed depression of cellular immunity and phagocytosis and increasing humoral immunity, by the way the site of stroke had been destructioned limbico-recicular brain structures which responsible for immune regulation.
