Abstract

Fundamental and applied aspects of the biological role of chemical elements are described. Positive and negative effects of macro- and trace elements and their compounds on living organisms are considered. The role of the elements in pathogenesis of diseases and sanogenesis is assessed. There is a classification of microelementoses with description.
