Abstract

The review deals with issues related to the involvement of CC-chemokines in regulating the inflammatory response and carcinogenesis. CC-chemokines have the diagnostic and therapeutic potential and they are key elements of the soluble factors system which ensure interaction between immune system and stromal and tumor cells. Further study of the CC-chemokines structure and functions will allow a better understanding the pathogenesis of a number of diseases, mainly carcinogenesis, inflammation and atherogenesis, and produce innovative approaches to their treatment.
