Abstract

Involvement ofneutrophils and their released proteins and peptides in complement functioning is reviewed. The data are presented describing effects of elastase, cathepsin G, lactoferrin, myeloperoxidase oncomplement.
Interaction of plement with antimicrobial peptides defensins is especially emphasized.
