Abstract

Electron-microscopic studies of the long palmar and deltoid muscles biopsies of patients with a clinical diagnosis «polymyositis» revealed significant changes in all structural elements of muscle fibers: myofibrils, sarcoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, nuclei, sarcoplasm, sarcolemma. These changes were destructive and regenerative nature. There was some evidence of aggression T lymphocytes in relation to the muscle fibers. Changes are also found in the blood micro vessels.
