Pathophysiological and pathochemical aspects of the effect of hydrogen peroxide on humans and animals (review)
Abstract
The review deals with the issues of special pathophysiology of hydrogen peroxide (HP), and especially with its interaction with organs and tissues of the human and animal body. HP has been shown to be a unique substance that can have both positive and negative effects. As HP is a natural antibacterial agent, it is an important compound in maintaining homeostasis, including homeostasis in the urinary and digestive systems. The possibility of using HP for the treatment of various diseases was also assessed, taking into account knowledge about the pathogenesis of diseases and the mechanism of action of HP.
